Service Description

Our Glow Renewal Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment that removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells to reveal a brighter, youthful complexion. Suitable for all skin types. Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions. How it Works: Microdermabrasion uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently sand away the thick outer layer of the skin to rejuvenate it. A different microdermabrasion technique sprays fine particles of aluminum oxide or sodium bicarbonate with a vacuum/suction to accomplish the same outcome as the abrasive surface. Benefits of Microdermabrasion: Improved Skin Appearance: Microdermabrasion can help decrease the appearance of superficial hyperpigmentation, photo-damage, and fine lines. Improved Product Penetration: By removing the surface layer of the skin, microdermabrasion enhances the skin's ability to absorb skincare products. Stimulates Collagen Production: The procedure stimulates blood flow, which can increase the nutrition delivered to skin cells, improving cell production and leading to better skin elasticity. Considerations and Side Effects: Microdermabrasion is considered a safe procedure for most skin types and colors. People might have temporary mild tenderness, swelling, or redness. Aftercare: After microdermabrasion, your skin will be sensitive to sun exposure. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Keep your skin hydrated and avoid using skincare products with harsh chemicals or that might cause irritation for 48 hours following the procedure. Procedure: Microdermabrasion sessions usually last about one hour. It's often referred to as a "lunch hour" treatment because it's a quick procedure that can be performed during a lunch break, and there's little to no downtime. Results: Results are not permanent. The glowing, refreshed look that microdermabrasion provides typically lasts about a month. You'll likely need to repeat the treatment at approximately monthly intervals to maintain results. Remember, it's important to discuss with your skincare professional or dermatologist before undergoing any skincare procedure, including microdermabrasion, to ensure it's right for your skin type and specific concerns.
